Geoff Renner

Geoff was born in Northumberland, England, and graduated with degrees in both geology and geophysics from the University of Durham. Subsequently, he worked for many seasons in Antarctica, where his research contributed to a greater understanding of the geological evolution of the Southern Hemisphere continents. Outside his academic career, he spent several months living with the Inuit of northwest Greenland, and traveled extensively across the Sahara Desert. In more recent years, he has lectured aboard expedition ships both in the Arctic and Antarctic. His present home is in Cambridgeshire, England.
