Joel Simon

Joel has enjoyed a life-long avocation in marine biology, is a licensed scuba instructor, and has taught college-accredited courses on marine biology in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In 1980 he began developing aquatics/snorkeling activities for Stanford University Travel/Study programs, lecturing on marine biology, and documenting the trips through his camera shutter and on audiotapes. He has since assisted scores of Stanford travelers in their snorkeling endeavors. A graduate of Stanford, he is also an accomplished photographer whose work has been featured in numerous photography and travel publications.
