What’s a journey to a new and exciting destination without indulging in the local food and wine? In keeping with our goal to give you the world, our food and wine expeditions immerse you in the flavors and fragrances of the region, whether it’s caponata and cannoli in Sicily or mint tea and typical local snacks in Algiers. You might sample the renowned wine and cheeses of Arachova, Greece; shop for spices at a lively Turkish bazaar; or relish toothsome soups and stews in Iran. From kebabs to kiwi, food, wine, and adventure travel have never combined so deliciously.
One of our newest journeys, Circumnavigation of Sicily is the ultimate in food and wine eco travel. Some days will bring ancient ruins, Roman theaters, and ornate castles, while others will find us touring vineyards and sampling olive oils straight from the press. Our highly successful Iran program offers a taste of the country’s savory cuisine with its mix of Greek, Arab, Turk, and Russian origins.
Wherever possible, our food and wine adventure tours will include a dining experience in a local village or with a welcoming family, deepening your connection to your chosen locale.
