Here peaks of twisted, snow-dusted granite—endowed with waterfalls, emerald lakes, and verdant valleys—tower above the plains of Patagonia.
Board your overnight flight to Santiago, Chile.
Connect with your flight to Punta Arenas. The afternoon is at leisure, with dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Today travel north through dramatic Patagonia steppe landscapes stopping for lunch at Puerto Natales. Upon arrival in Torres del Paine, enjoy dinner at Hotel Rio Serrano, your base for three nights.
Spend two full days exploring Torres del Paine National Park. Nearly 150 native animal species reside in the steppe and forested areas, including Patagonian foxes, vicuñas, and guanacos. Among the 100 species of resident birds are high-stepping lesser rheas, the New World’s largest bird, and elegant Andean condors that soar high above the landscape.
Depart overland for the charming town of El Calafate, stopping en route for nature viewing and photography. Spend two nights at Posada Los Alamos.
Spend a full day visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Board your short flight for Ushuaia and enjoy a tour of this southern-most city in the world. Embark the Sea Spirit in the late afternoon.
