Today we arrived in Stockholm from all corners of the globe to begin our journey together. A brief introduction to the majority of the expedition staff was provided before dinner at the hotel, and guests soon sought the welcome comfort of their beds.

The conversation buzzed with excitement as we gathered in the Grand Hotel Reykjavík to meet our fellow travelers, and greet friends both old and new. Over dinner, Expedition Leader Russ Evans introduced the large team of naturalists and lecturers who would be accompanying us to explain and interpret all we would see over the next two weeks.
Tuesday & Wednesday, May 31 & June 1, 2016 - Valletta, Malta / Embark Island Sky
Thursday & Friday, May 12 & 13, 2016 - Lisbon, Portugal / Embark Sea Adventurer
We checked into the Intercontinental Lisbon after our various journeys and met for a wine reception in the evening, followed by a welcome dinner. We caught up with old friends from previous Zegrahm trips, and met new acquaintances. Expedition Leader Mike Messick and Cruise Director Kelsey Simmons, welcomed us to Portugal, before we headed to bed for some well-deserved rest.
Sunday & Monday, May 1 & 2, 2016 - Tokyo, Japan / Niigata / Embark Caledonian Sky
We gathered as one group for a sumptuous Japanese meal at our hotel. Our Expedition Leader, Mark Brazil, introduced our expedition team, including our local guides, before we all headed for bed, ready for a full day and a fresh start tomorrow!
