Martinique

We arrived from different corners of the world to explore the lesser-traveled islands of the Caribbean, our flights touching down at Fort-de-France, the sleepy capital city of Martinique. On the drive to Le Cap Est Lagoon Resort, we admired the lush green vegetation covering impressive volcanic peaks.

Sunday, May 20, 2018
Narita, Japan

We gathered from Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK, and the USA at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Narita for our welcome reception and dinner in the company of our Zegrahm Expedition Leader, Michael (MiMo) Moore, and his enthusiastic team of expedition staff. The reception room was soon buzzing with conversation and anticipation of our exciting voyage—the first expedition cruise circumnavigating Hokkaido!

Wild & Ancient Britain with Ireland

Thursday, May 10, 2018
London, UK

We arrived from all parts of the globe to meet at London's Paddington Station Hilton, a convenient hotel very near the famous Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. As travelers with Zegrahm Expeditions, Stanford Travel/Study, and Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, we have come together to explore and experience Wild & Ancient Britain with Ireland. We gathered for welcome cocktails, dinner, and conversation with our fellow travelers, then to bed as our adventures are to start first thing tomorrow.

Australia's Kimberley

Thursday, May 17, 2018
Darwin, Australia

We all arrived safely, some a little later than expected, to a cool Darwin. The capital city of the Northern Territory was in the grip of what locals call a “deep freeze” with temperatures only 75ᵒF; usually it is 90ᵒF! Once settled into our rooms the excitement of what was ahead began to break through the fatigue of long-distance travel. A welcome drink and a shared dinner was our first encounter with fellow travelers.
