From hash browns and French toast to smoked mackerel and creamed burdock root, there was something for every taste and degree of immersion into Japan. Thus fortified, we boarded our buses and set out to explore the cultural...

Ushuaia, Argentina / Embark Island Sky
Having arrived at the Arakur Hotel & Resort in Ushuaia the day before, and caught up on at least some sleep overnight, we set out this morning to explore Tierra del Fuego National Park. Chennai, India / Embark the Silver Discoverer
We gathered at the Taj Coromandel Hotel in Chennai on India’s southeast coast, arriving throughout the day and night on flights from all over the world. On Tuesday afternoon, after a filling lunch that felt like a late-night snack to those who were still in a different time zone, we began our expedition by exploring...

Tuesday, March 15, 2016 - Sandakan, Malaysia / Embark Caledonian Sky
Our morning in Sandakan began at the Sun Bear Sanctuary at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center, built in 2014. The bears were active and we observed them playing with one another and climbing the trees around the viewing platform. A short walk led us to the orangutan sanctuary and we made it in time...
The South Georgia Heritage Trust has done some incredible work for the island, including eradicating ALL rats from South Georgia. Doing so brought back the population of the South Georgia pipit, once very near extinction. Watch as ornithologist Jim Wilson tells you more about the project - and listen to a pipit sing!
Please note, the footage in this video was taken on both Prion Island and Elsehul Bay; Prion was one of the few rat-free islands of South Georgia, while...
On our recent expedition to South Georgia, we observed majestic albatross, soaring very near to us both on the ship and on land. When we stopped at Elsehul, we were able to explore the nesting sites of both light-mantled sooty and gray-headed albatross. Watch as Jim Wilson, ornithologist and long-time Zegrahm leader, describes these enigmatic creatures.
You know it’s just an amazing privilege, and you know for some of them, they’ve never seen an...
