Your day begins with a cycling tour along the mighty Mekong River, passing small villages and bucolic countryside. Reward yourself later with a possible dip in the cool waters below Hoy Khoua Waterfall while enjoying a delightful picnic lunch. Later in the day, you may experience a Baci blessing ceremony, joining local devotees in chanting Buddhist mantras, or learn about Laos’ local myths and folklore through music and a rich storytelling performance, which will be held at an old colonial house that has been converted into a small theatre.

For early risers, grab your coffee and make your way before dawn to central Luang Prabang for the serene practice of alms giving. Watch hundreds of orange-robed Buddhist monks leave their pagodas and walk single file along the streets, the area devoid of any sound beyond whispers. After this peaceful experience, return to the Rosewoodfor breakfast and prepare for the day ahead. Activity options may include an interactive natural dyeing workshop, working for a day in the countryside as an organic rice farmer, or preparing delicious food and hand feeding elephants near a local village.
