Upon arrival in Punta Arenas, transfer to the Hotel Cabo de Hornos with the afternoon at leisure. Gather this evening for a welcome reception, with dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Punta Arenas / Torres del Paine National ParkJanuary 18
Today drive north through dramatic Patagonia steppe landscapes. Upon arrival in Torres del Paine, check in to Patagonia Camp, your base for three nights. Set in a private reserve of more than 84,000 acres and surrounded by native “coihue” forest, enjoy free time to explore before dinner and overnight.

Encompassing 615,000 acres of expansive grasslands and the fantastic pinnacles of the Andean mountains, Torres del Paine National Park is a stunning UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Chile’s premier Patagonian destination. Here peaks of twisted, snow-dusted granite—endowed with waterfalls, emerald lakes, and verdant valleys—tower above the plains of Patagonia. With your guide, witness Patagonia’s dramatic landscapes—ancient forests, vibrantly-hued lakes, rushing rivers, soaring mountains, and numerous glaciers. You’ll also search for resident wildlife such as Patagonian foxes, vicuñas, guañacos, flightless lesser rheas, striking Magellanic woodpeckers, and elegant Andean condors that soar high above the landscape.
Torres del Paine National Park / El Calafate, ArgentinaJanuary 21
This morning, depart overland for El Calafate, with the opportunity to view and photograph wildlife en route. Check in to Posada los Alamos Hotel with the rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s amenities, or explore El Calafate on your own.

Today enjoy a full-day tour of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing glaciers in the world. Walk along footbridges for a variety of majestic views and take a cruise on Lake Rico, passing a flotilla of icebergs that have calved from the nearly 200-foot-tall glacier.
