Zodiac Cruising in Antarctica

Dagný Ívarsdóttir

Formally educated in business communications & marketing from several universities around the world, Dagný first discovered the world of adventure tourism from an office in downtown Reykjavík in 2011. It wasn’t long before she was plotting her escape and disappearing on a one-way trip into the great outdoors, where she has been ever since. Dagný first started working on small expedition vessels, in 2014, as a naturalist/cultural expert circumnavigating Iceland. Today she works more extensively as a polar expedition guide on the oceans of the Arctic and Antarctic. No matter where she is, she always finds a way to share her love for Iceland with fellow travelers, often through colourful tales of elves and trolls. Her personal and professional lives have led her to all seven continents, where she spends her best time meeting new friends, riding her mountain bike or snowboard, and shooting jaw-dropping photos. Today she credits Mother Nature for teaching her the value of working hard, playing harder, laughing loud, and always living life to its fullest.
