The Arctic summer and its lingering daylight allow ample time to discover Norway and Svalbard, with their abundant wildlife and stark natural beauty—journey by Zodiac and on foot, meeting the region’s hardy residents.
Mark spent his formative years exploring the snowy peaks of Colorado and traveling around the US on family road trips. Having acquired the travel bug early in life, he loves wild, mountainous regions and has been exposed to a variety of diverse environments and cultures while teaching wilderness education in Alaska, Washington, Colorado, and Chile. He currently lives on the Gulf of Alaska, where the glacially-capped mountains towering above the rich marine habitats sparked Mark’s interest and appreciation of marine ecosystems. Mark enjoys spending his time kayak guiding, ski guiding, mountaineering, and generally exploring Alaska's wild places. He is passionate about helping people make meaningful connections with nature, and looks forward to sharing those opportunities with you!
